SSS Rajamouli’s film RRR has not been nominated in Oscar 2023. After hearing this news, the fans of RRR are quite disappointed. Now the film’s team has reacted on this matter. According to media reports, US distributor, Varians Films has requested the Academy to watch the film for all categories. Dylan Marchetti, President, Varian Films said, “Over the past 6 months, we have seen the delight of SS Rajamouli’s RRR to a global audience. We saw the film earn $140 million worldwide and become India’s highest-grossing film. With this, it is the first film in history to trend globally on Netflix for more than 14 weeks.
Dylan Marchetti continued, “We have seen cinemas in Hollywood filling up with audiences, including the historic TCL Chinese IMAX Theater, months after the film’s release. The film will be released in IMAX theaters next Friday. It is one of the biggest cinema halls in the country and all the tickets for the film were sold out in just 15 minutes. Dylan says, ‘We saw the film’s crowd in theaters and saw the excitement about the film in the audience. Along with this, we have also heard from the audience that this is the best film of the entire country till date. We also agree with this view of the people, so request the Academy to invite RRR in all categories.
